Heather Dugan -- Oyster Locals Reporter
Heather Dugan is a freelance writer/photographer and voice-over talent based in Central Ohio. Her voice can be heard on TV, radio, in corporate videos, on the web, and as an annoying phone voice telling you when you’ve misdialed. She blames her extreme travel tendencies on her father who blithely drove the family from Midwestern Ohio to Alaska while she was yet in her formative years. Wildest travel adventure? Free diving through a coral tunnel in the BVI. No wait. Maybe it was zip-lining in the jungle? OK. It was most definitely hiking southern Utah with her three kids and a whole lot of beef jerky. So far...
It’s all chronicled in her popular travel weblog Footsteps complete with essays, photos and downloadable narratives.

The Fairmont combines the history, cachet, and decor of a turn-of-the-20th-century grand old dame with the amenities, technology, and corporate-dominated clientele of a large chain property. What separates it from its luxury competitors are its beautiful, well-appointed rooms, many with stunning views, and its location atop Nob Hill.
