The colorful Grand Pineapple includes lots of activities (including games and water sports), but the nice white-sand beach and great lagoon pool can get crowded. Rooms have simple Caribbean style, with light blue walls and wicker furniture, but many are old and need updating. Though it's a little rough around the edges, considering the lovely beach and large pool area, Jolly Beach provides a decent value -- as long as you don’t mind a few shortcomings, and don’t plan on spending too much time in the drab rooms.
Coconut Beach Club
This 38-room, casual, beachfront hotel for teens and adults (no children under 12) is smaller than most resorts on the island, allowing for a much more friendly, intimate feel. All rooms face out on to the beach and feature ocean views, but the views inside aren't very inspiring -- the furniture and decor are old and dated. Coconut Beach Club's cozy setting and secluded location make it feel like a secret hideaway -- and while it's not fancy or luxurious, it provides a decent value for a budget resort.
