Flying a kite may seem like a breeze, but it’s a whole other story when you’re doing it while riding some serious waves. At the Dominican Republic’s Viva Wyndham Tangerine, an affordable all-inclusive, kite boarding beats out kite flying any day of the week. Though the hotel itself is in need of a little TLC, it certainly has one thing going for it: location, location, location. The Tangerine sits on a hip north-coast beach (one of the D.R.’s best) where the daytime beach scene and the after-dark party scene keep the guests rolling in and flying high. We just wish we could see this sport take flight at the Olympics!
