Every single day, we're adding dozens of hotels -- with hundreds of photos and extensive, unbiased reviews -- to the site. So that means that every day we see gorgeous properties around the world that make us want to hop on a plane ASAP. Today, we're sharing a little bit of the love. Here are five hotels, new on Oyster, that are simply stunning.

Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort

The sprawling, 278-room Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort is a luxury property that sits on over 250 acres of land along the coast of the Indian Ocean. With a celebrated 18-hole golf course, six bars and restaurants, and several pools with waterslides and waterfalls, the hotel has a lot to offer guests looking to get away from the bustle of the more populated towns of Kuta or Seminyak. The remote location means that there are few restaurants and shops nearby, so it’s best for those looking to camp out on a sun lounge or enjoy spa treatments. A variety of rooms are on offer, including spacious suites and villas with private plunge pools and gardens, all featuring a simple, modern style with tasteful decor and an array of amenities. There’s no beach, however, so travelers seeking one might want to consider the Samaya Bali instead.

Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

The upscale Hilton San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is located near the convention center and draws many business travelers. The hotel features large windows, natural wood, and modern decor, and the 300 rooms have comfortable beds and 42-inch TVs. It has a small but modern fitness center, a large pool, and an attractive outdoor terrace lounge. A pricey daily breakfast buffet and California-inspired lunch or dinner fare are available at New Leaf Restaurant. Rates are typically fair for this caliber, but the nearby Solamar and Andaz are also worth considering.

Pestana Palace, Lisbon

The opulent Pestana Palace is a luxury hotel in a gorgeous 19th-century palace. Features are expansive, and include an elegant Portuguese restaurant, a beautiful outdoor pool, a spa with a sauna and indoor pool, and a fitness center. The property also has an impressive series of lounges and living rooms, with ornate design, antiques, and lovely artwork. There’s also a parlor bar, and in warm weather, guests can have a drink at the pavilion bar overlooking the garden. Even Standard Rooms are spacious and elegant, and some royalty-worthy suites have large furnished balconies with beautiful views and huge bathrooms with claw-foot tubs and separate showers. The hotel is not within walking distance to most of the city’s attractions; it’s around a 15-minute drive (or 10 euro cab ride) to the historic city center. Guests warn that the drinks are pricey and there aren’t any irons in the rooms.

Sand Castle on the Beach Hotel, St. Croix

The three-pearl Sand Castle on the Beach is a lovely boutique alternative to the big resorts on the eastern side of St. Croix. The delicious restaurant, stunning beach, and easygoing vibe make this a pleasant choice for families and travelers looking for an affordable beach vacation. The rooms are a bit dated, and some lack privacy and natural light, but all are spacious and a few offer views of the pool and beach. Nice extras include a free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and kayaks. Rates are comparable to Palms at Pelican Cove, where rooms are more private and the grounds are lush and expansive.

Shangri-La Hotel Toronto

With lavish and tasteful Asian designs, the luxury 202-room Shangri-La Hotel Toronto soars 65 stories high in downtown’s Financial District. It’s walking distance to major attractions, including the CN Tower. Spacious, elegant rooms have TVs in bathroom mirrors, tablet room controls, Nespresso machines, and floor-to-ceiling windows; suites offer butler service. Natural light floods the indoor pool and 24-hour gym, and luxury permeates the Caudalie spa. Eight meeting spaces, including a theater, are great amenities for business travelers.
