Add CommentStaying at the hotel was like staying in a ghost town..The amenites were unavailable. the slides were closed. The restaurant was closed. The Spa had limited hours available. We were forced to even catch a taxi across the street at The CaBana hotel...It was a huge disapointment. I was further insulted by the desk manager, who was rude and un abliging to the smallest of requests. To add insult to an already disapointing experience, we were charged $70.00 for a late check-out..I would never recommend Tropicana Hotel in Aruba to anyone. It was the worst accomodations I have ever experienced.
I have been going to aruba for 24 consecutive years(2X each year).
Have always stayed in economy hotels ( Americana, Golden Tulip, now Radisson, The Mill and of course the Holiday Inn. Due to the significant savings and beach locations, we never complained about any hotel, now including the Tropicana.
There may be a lot of "insignificant negatives, as previously indicated but I like it because:
If you need excitment all the time, this is not the place for you. But if you want a quiet, relaxing and cost saving vacation, this is the place for you. Remember, you have two worlds when you go to the Tropicana because what you don't have there, you have at the Cabana, three minutes away.
Also, remember, you don't spend your vacations in the room!!!!!!!!!!!! Your are in Aruba to have Fun, Fun and more Fun.
