Bottom Line

Adelphi Suites Bangkok is an upper-middle-range apartment hotel in the heart of the Sukhumvit neighborhood, a short jaunt from the Nana BTS skytrain station. The 84 rooms were renovated in 2016 and come in studio and one-bedroom configurations, and all have kitchenettes with stoves and big fridges, plus their own in-room Wi-Fi routers. Features include a small outdoor pool and a fitness center with great city views, both on the 16th floor. Breakfast is included in room rates and served at the privately managed Monsoon Cafe and Restaurant in the lobby, which also offers room service at other meals. While this is an excellent choice for longer-term business travelers needing kitchenettes, those wanting something with a bit more of a youthful appeal may should consider the hip, boutique-y Galleria 10 Sukhumvit nearby.

Adelphi Suites Bangkok

Scene

Upper-middle-range apartment hotel with contemporary interiors and wafting scent of lemongrass

This upper-middle-range apartment hotel is housed in a modern,16-story tower with gray siding and tinted blue windows, with a rooftop pool deck on top. Inside is the contemporary lobby with brown-and-cream marble floors and a smattering of soft brushed-cotton gray sofas with tan accent pillows. Behind the main lobby area is a bank of elevators, plus a station with high-backed stools and a couple of computers for guest use. Oil diffusers spread a soft lemongrass aroma throughout the hotel's common spaces. There's a privately run restaurant, Monsoon, with lovely interiors dominated by wood floors and wall paneling and red-brick accent walls. Just outside the restaurant is a small terrace with wicker chairs and small tables for guests who wish to smoke (or escape the air-conditioning). This hotel attracts tourists, but mostly draws business travelers looking for self-catering facilities

Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport are each around 45 minutes to an hour away from the hotel, depending on traffic, but can take considerably longer to reach during peak rush hour.
