Bottom Line

The Eurostars Cristal Palace is a less expensive and less upscale sister to the nearby BCN Design Hotel. But this hotel is a great pick for its location just off Passeig de Gracia, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and sights. Some of the 150 rooms are on the small side, but they're clean and contemporary with flat-screen TVs, striped bedding accents, wood floors, and modern bathrooms. The hotel does not have a fitness center or a spa, but it is a good choice for business travelers as there are several meeting rooms and all rooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi. There is also an on-site restaurant, Pictory, and lobby bar.

Exe Cristal Palace

Location

Just off of Passeig de Gracia in the lovely Eixample district

Located just off of Passeig de Gracia, the Eurostars Cristal Palace is in a great starting point for local shopping and sightseeing. The hotel is within walking distance of the modernist landmarks Casa Milà and Casa Batlló. These eye-catching buildings designed by Antoni Gaudí currently function as museums that can be explored inside and out. This district is known for a vibrant nightlife scene, with many trendy bars and clubs, especially in the gay section (which is popularly known as Gayxample). In addition, the Passeig de Gracia metro station is less than two blocks away from the hotel, which makes exploring other parts of the city fairly easy.

  • Just off of Passeig de Gràcia, lined by high-end shops and restaurants
  • 4-minute walk to whimsical Casa Batlló , a former home-turned-museum designed by Antoni Gaudí
