Bottom Line

Hotel America Barcelona is a spotless boutique close to designer shops on the stylish Passeig de Gracia thoroughfare. Rooms have plain wood furnishings with a generic feel, but beautiful parquet floors and bright accents throughout keep them from looking too chain-like. Most are spacious, with large windows that let in lots of natural light. The hotel's standout feature is a lovely rooftop terrace with a small pool and Jacuzzi, pretty city views, and chic lounge area. Inside, the property's communal areas are airy and spacious. However, this design also means that noise tends to travel throughout the hotel, which can be a problem for some -- especially light sleepers.
