This fabulous hideaway features horse stables, an organic garden, creekside spa service, and gorgeous, lush greenery. Turtle Inn, owned by the Coppola family and sister property to Blancaneaux Lodge, is an intimate luxury resort set alongside a beautiful stretch of the Caribbean Sea near Placencia. The grounds feature Indonesian statues, hidden hammocks, and an organic garden that supplies the restaurants -- You might even make some friends along the way! Owners Jan and Sandra opened this romantic hideaway in 2001, and today it has 16 rooms (many cabana-style units with thatched roofs) and one mansion for families and groups. The property is surrounded by palms and located six miles north of San Pedro on a quiet, remote stretch. Chaa Creek, one of Belize's first eco-lodges, has evolved from its humble beginnings as a working farm to become a premier luxury retreat. The property sits on a gorgeous rain forest reserve with lovely tropical landscaping and space for discovering the great outdoors. This laid-back, 52-room property has rooms on both Placencia Peninsula and two small private islands. The grounds feature plenty of shady trees (look for iguanas in the branches), as well as a large bird cage housing a parrot. When it comes to stylish jungle lodges, Chan Chich is the real deal. Nestled in the remote northwestern corner of Belize, the lodge sits on a private nature reserve located within the 130,000-acre Gallon Jug Estate. Nature lies at your doorstep, as do phenomenal hiking and bird watching opportunities, and Mayan ruins. Xanadu Island Resort is a simple, relaxed property with 18 spacious units resting on a pretty stretch of beach along Ambergris Caye, minutes from central San Pedro. Guests will drive through a wooden arched entrance onto the property, which features lush tropical vegetation; hand-painted signs point toward a nature walk and bird sanctuary. Pook's Hill Lodge consists of 11 thatched-roof bungalows set on a 300-acre private nature reserve. It's definitely one of Belize's more remote jungle lodges, bordered by the larger (6,700-acre) Tapir Mountain Forest Reserve.
