Centrally located near the Zoological Gardens
The InterContinental is centrally located near the famous Kurfurstendamm, one of the most famous shopping avenues in Berlin. Though not terribly close to most of Berlin's tourist attractions, the hotel is fairly central and adjacent to the famous Zoological Gardens.
Berlin is a vibrant city with a tolerant and spirited arts scene and fantastic public transportation. Over 20 years since the Berlin Wall fell, the German capital has become known to have something for everyone, from world-class dining and great street food to cutting edge artists and performers.
This 558-room luxury property has a convenient location in central Berlin, overlooking the Zoological Gardens and a short walk from the famous Tiergarten. Contemporary rooms have sophisticated decor, spacious bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, and stocked minibars; some have great views of the gardens. The InterContinental has all of the amenities you'd expect from a big, upscale chain: an extensive spa, indoor pool, fitness center, and two restaurants (including one with a Michelin star). While this hotel is a solid luxury pick in Berlin, there are pesky fees for in-room Internet access and for use of the saunas in the fitness center. The InterContinental is a popular choice for large conferences, and the hotel can feel a bit overrun during such events.
