The Eliot Hotel

Back Bay, Boston, Massachusetts

The 95-room Eliot Hotel peddles in a certain old-money Boston grandeur. Originally built in 1925 as a home for semiretired Harvard professors, the stately brownstone still shares a wall with the next-door Harvard Club. Like an elegant old Parisian hotel, there's a wrought-iron gate and brass room keys kept in an old-fashioned key cubbyhole cabinet behind the front desk.
