Crystal Peak Lodge Rating: 4.0 Pearls

A cozy yet extremely popular mountainside town, Breckenridge's blend of log cabins, 19th-century gold mining history, and modern-day snowboarding culture makes it stand out among the rest of the Rocky Mountain ski resorts. Here are some of our favorite views of the slopes: One of the higher-end properties in Breckenridge, the Crystal Peak Lodge has a great winter location on Peak 7, right on the Breck-Connect Gondola line, and upscale details throughout, including stone fireplaces in the big, individually owned condos — from which gratuitous views abound.

One Ski Hill Place is one of the most luxurious lodges in Breckenridge, with attractive condo-style units featuring gourmet kitchens, beautiful bathrooms (almost all with soaking tubs), and moss rock gas fireplaces — as well as wonderful mountain views from private balconies. The direct ski-in/ski-out access to Peak 9 is a main draw at the Beaver Run Resort & Conference Center. Views are abundant here, particularly from the suites' private balconies, but you can also enjoy panoramic vistas from the pool, tennis courts, and conference rooms. These individually owned condo units are homey and big (they start at 900 square feet), with gas fireplaces, washer/dryers, private garages, full kitchens, and decks (some featuring a private hot tub). Mountain views from the main house are stunning. This mid-range property is, as the name suggests, a veritable village, with a ski school, seasonal childcare center, and a mix of 240 hotel rooms and condo rentals in five different buildings. Mountain views are expansive from some of the condos, as well as from the attractive redwood whirlpool deck. With large one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom condo options, two on-site whirlpools, and a community pool across the street, Trails End is a great mid-range choice for families. The six-story building is a true ski-in, ski-out property at the base of Peak 9, with lovely mountain views throughout.
