Sheraton Mar del Plata Hotel

This red-stone-and glass building has an industrial look. The lobby is expansive, with a large central atrium that’s accented by potted plants along the edges, glossy gray floors, warm-toned contemporary seating, and abstract artwork. There’s plenty of seating across different levels for guests who need a break or want to socialize. The breakfast room features white tables, dark-wood accents, and ample natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows. The bar includes striped carpeting, wooden tables, and a small bar counter. The fitness center and some guest rooms take advantage of the golf course and ocean views. It's a busy hotel, which draws business travelers and tourists, including couples and families. 

The Sheraton Mar del Plata Hotel sits next to a golf course and is a 15-minute walk to the beach. Some restaurants and bars are within walking distance, but it’s about a 10-minute drive to the city center for more entertainment, dining options, and shopping. Aquopolis water park is a 30-minute drive away. Bosque Peralta Ramos, a large wooded park area, is a 20-minute drive. It’s a 33-minute drive to Astor Piazzolla International Airport. 

The 194 rooms at the Sheraton Mar del Plata Hotel are contemporary, but not especially luxurious. Rooms are beginning to look a little dated, and could use a style update. Cream walls, tan carpeting, and white beds are accented by a mix of dark- and light-wood furniture and wicker chairs. Some upper-story rooms have finer quality fabrics and more updated furniture. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs, free bottled water, minibars, safes, and air-conditioning, although they lack coffee- and tea-making facilities. Wi-Fi comes with a fee unless you're an SPG member -- it's free to sign up for the program. Some rooms have ocean and golf course views. Suites provide separate living room areas. Bathrooms are modern and come outfitted with shower/tub combos. Hairdryers and toiletries are provided. 

Built for both families and the business crowd, the hotel brims with entertainment and business amenities alike. The highlight of the hotel is the spa, with an indoor pool and sauna. Massages and beauty treatments are available. The spa is reserved for those 16 years of age and older, which adds to the relaxation factor. The hotel also has an outdoor seasonal pool, a children’s pool, and a poolside bar. The fitness center provides a range of cardio and weight-training equipment, and free weights. Dining options are plentiful and include a breakfast buffet (included in rates), a lobby bar for light meals, drinks, and evening entertainment. Las Barcas, a seafood and Mediterranean-themed restaurant, provides upscale dining. Room service is available. For business guests, there’s eight fully equipped meeting rooms and a business center with desktop computers and a printer. Wi-Fi is free only for SPG members (the program is free to join). The hotel has a kids' club and can arrange child care. Valet parking is available for a hefty fee.
