In upscale Palermo Soho, near trendy boutiques
The Soho All Suites is located in Palermo Soho, a pleasant neighborhood known for its fashion boutiques, restaurants, and bars. These are easily reachable by foot, but visitors will have to take a taxi or the subway to popular attractions such as the Botanical Garden, Teatro Colon, and Monumento del Libertador Jose de San Martin.
Palermo Viejo can be divided into two sections: Palermo Soho to the south and Palermo Hollywood to the north. On Palermo Viejo's southwestern edge, lively Palermo Soho is a small neighborhood that's very similar to New York City's SoHo, with cobblestone streets and tons of upscale boutiques. Most of the shops and restaurants are centered around Plazoleta Cortazar, which is a late-night gathering spot for those coming and going from the bars.
THIS HOTEL CLOSED IN FEBRUARY 2013. The Soho All Suites is a trendy 21-room boutique hotel in the heart of Palermo, an upscale neighborhood known for great shopping and dining. Located off a cute cobblestone sidewalk, the hotel brings the outside in by allowing the cobblestone to spill into the entrance. The minimalist lobby is chic, and the rooms are contemporary, with bright color accents -- but they lack the upscale appeal of the lobby and some furnishings feel a bit cheap. Bathrooms are small and in need of updating (aside from the cool vessel sinks). Kitchenettes offer basic amenities, while tiny balconies provide nice city views. The spa and rooftop dipping pool (a hot tub, though not heated) are the main features.
