Bottom Line

As its name suggests, the Panorama sits high on a hill with spectacular views over Chania bay. The property is a bit of a drive from Chania, at the heart of a suburb crossed by a busy road, so walking outside of the Panorama can be difficult and sometimes dangerous. The hotel is an upper-mid-range all-inclusive option geared toward older couples and families who want to stay on the grounds and laze by the pool and beach, or rent a car and explore more afield. Some rooms have balconies and sea views. Panorama is not the best choice for guests who want to spend lots of time in Chania town.

Panorama Hotel – Chania

Scene

An all-inclusive option with a pleasant pool area, away from bustling Chania

Despite stunning views from its hillside location and the choice of several large public pools, this hotel is in a noisy, unattractive suburb and the property could benefit from better-trained, more helpful staff.

Shiny with sleek marble floors, the ballroom-sized lobby area has cushy sofa seats scattered throughout and offers lots of quirky details, including gold stools, peacock-blue sofas, and several pianos. Large glass doors lead out to the pool area with panoramic views over the bay and a glass-sided lift that leads down to the Blue Executive Wing, a private area with suites and a small bar area.

With several bars and restaurants and two seawater swimming pools, Panorama attracts older couples and families who are not bothered by the limited entertainment options on-site.
