Not only is the Four Seasons one of the city's nicest hotels, it's location near the historic Water Tower and the Hancock Observatory can't be beat. The Hotel Monaco Chicago has 192 bright, quirky rooms (think: green striped wallpaper) with window seats that open up to gorgeous water views. The Presidential Suite at the Omni Hotel includes a living room with grand piano, a dining room, and -- best of all -- Mag Mile views. The Fairmont Chicago, a 687-room luxury hotel, is located in the Loop neighborhood, near Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. Even Standard Guestrooms here have great views of the park and water. The enormous, 2,019-room Hyatt Regency Chicago caters to business travelers, with its large convention center and numerous meeting rooms. Some Standard Rooms look out over the Chicago River and into Lake Michigan, -- a big draw for leisure travelers, as well. The mid-range Hotel 71 is centrally located in The Loop, on the northern edge of Chicago's Theatre District. Its 357 rooms are comfortable and spacious, with great river and city views like the one from this Premier River View Room. Some of the rooms at the River Hotel are on the small side, but they're perfectly comfortable, with attractive wood accents, flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, cool see-through desks, and Loop views, like this one from a Studio. The huge, tasteful rooms at the Trump International Hotel & Tower have limestone bathrooms with soaking tubs and floor-to-ceiling windows, many of which have awesome views. The Sutton Place Hotel is a boutique two blocks from the Magnificent Mile. It features upscale amenities such as free morning newspapers, 24-hour room service, morning car service, and twice-daily maid service. Rooms are available with lake or city views. Rooms at the Hilton Chicago are decorated in shades of brown, with gold accents. Though the hotel is a bit far from major attractions, it does offer beautiful city and/or lake views, like the one from this One Bedroom Suite. This hotel, two blocks from the Magnificent Mile, is nicer than your average Doubletree, if still solidly mid-range. Rooms were renovated in 2009, and some, like this Standard King Room, have lake and city views.
