Tucked in a peaceful tree-lined area, the Hampton Inn offers a nice repreive from other area hotels that neighbor busy commerical strips. Although a big chain property, at most glances it doesn't feel like such.

A large, active aquarium separates the front desk and lobby, which has comfortable leather seats from which to watch the flat-screen TV. The lobby adjoins the breakfast area, and both overlook the outdoor pool, which resembles something straight out of a Tuscan villa -- complete with a small rock waterfall and ample lounge seating.

The hotel's interior is warm, inviting, and clean throughout, and at-home touches such as homemade cookies every afternoon help complete the cozy, welcoming experience.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Rockport enjoys a convenient location off a main road leading out of town. The property is surrounded by trees, and there’s a small neighborhood behind the property. Although there’s no beach here, it’s a quick drive to Rockport Beach Park and other local beaches.

Rockport lies about 32 miles north of downtown Corpus Christi and makes a nice alternative to staying in the city. It has a laid-back atmosphere but enough in the way of shopping and comforts to be convenient. Large chain grocery stores and even a Walmart are nearby. The town itself sprawls along the shoreline lining Aransas Bay.
