The W Dallas is located in trendy Uptown, with many area attractions just a short drive away. Though some spots are technically within walking distance of the hotel, the surrounding streets are busy and many lack sidewalks, so driving is recommended (and those who do choose to walk should exercise caution).
Divided into several areas -- Victory Park, McKinney Avenue, Knox-Henderson, and West Village -- Uptown Dallas is a hot spot of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Creating the border on the south side, Victory Park is home to the American Airlines Center, a huge sports and entertainment complex where the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars play.
