Although the airport-adjacent branch of this hotel mega chain mostly appeals to the business traveler set, the Wyndham Dallas Love Field is a great option for budget visitors as well. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and have a contemporary, updated look. And extra touches -- such as the airport flight monitors in the lobby, the comfy in-room "smart" chairs with outlets, and the swivel desk for laptops -- are higher tech than you might expect from a mid-range hotel. A simple outdoor pool (albeit short on lounge chairs) and a lively on-site sports bar may keep short-term guests entertained, but if you're in Dallas to fully experience the city, consider staying closer to downtown at the Magnolia Hotel or Crowne Plaza Downtown.

The Wyndham Dallas Love Field is located near Love Field Airport, about a 12-minute drive from the edge of downtown Dallas. There's very little to do or see in the immediate area, which caters mostly to a business traveler crowd.
