The Central Business District covers the area between Lawrence Street and Broadway, from 16th to 19th streets, and is Denver’s financial hub, with corporate towers and dozens of businesses. However, it’s not your typical boring business district -- the main attraction here is 16th Street Mall, a mile-long pedestrian shopping area which attracts locals and tourists alike. Plus, restaurants, pubs and coffee bars ensure the area is still lively at night (though the crew here is somewhat older than that in LoDo). A number of hotels are clustered here, ranging from mid-range chains to luxury boutiques.
Travelers on a shopping spree or wanting to catch a show will probably find the western side of the neighborhood the most convenient due to its proximity to the 16th Street Mall and the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Or head north if you want to experience Denver’s hopping nightlife. The area closer to the Broadway – Court Place intersection will allow you to walk to areas such as Uptown and Capitol Hill.
