Next to Trinity College and near Temple Bar
Trinity Capital Hotel is around the corner from Trinity College and within easy walking distance to Temple Bar. This area is popular for tourists because of its cobblestone streets, healthy nightlife, and numerous pubs and restaurants. The hotel is within easy walking distance of several of Dublin's best attractions including Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green, the National Gallery of Ireland, and many more. In addition, it is a block from several bus lines that connect to all areas of the city.
Dublin has changed dramatically in the last 15 years. First there was the boom of the Celtic Tiger that brought great development and growth to the city. As a result of this wave of wealth, the city now has a cosmopolitan feel that it never had before. Since the economic bust, restaurants and hotels have generally retained the same quality, but the city is less expensive. Dublin has beautiful gardens, museums, and theaters, but it is the everyday things in the Irish capital -- like sitting in a local pub and having a pint -- that are a high point for many tourists.
Trinity Capital Hotel is a unique choice in Dublin's city center. This 195-room hotel is decorated in Middle Eastern style with rich fabrics, colors, and eclectic furnishings. The style is especially evident in the restaurant, Cafe Cairo, which features interesting lighting, carpets, and artwork. Bright colors make their way into the rooms as well, all of which offer big flat-screen TVs, comfortable beds, and fun design touches. Bathrooms range from small, to spacious enough for a Jacuzzi tub, depending on the room. Hotel features include a small fitness center, an interior courtyard off the restaurant, and a fun bar. While the location near Trinity College is excellent, the one main complaint about this hotel is close proximity to a noisy fire station.
