Bottom Line

This 91-room mid-range property is located off the Overseas Highway, the main thoroughfare that connects all the Florida Keys. Clean, spacious (if chain-like) rooms come with up-to-date amenities (like iHome docks and flat-screen TVs with premium channels), decent-sized bathrooms with shower/tub combos, and balconies. The bright fitness center is small, but has modern machines and wonderful views of the marina. There’s also a restaurant serving American fare, a smallish pool, and lounge chairs on a small fake beach area.

Oyster Hotel Review

Courtyard by Marriott Key Largo

Location

Off the Overseas Highway, minutes from shops and restaurants, and a short drive from the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park

The Courtyard is located on the northern side of the Key Largo waterways, right off the Overseas Highway, which connects all the Keys to mainland Florida. Key Largo is the largest Key, and has attracted tourists for years for its proximity to one of the country's only living coral reefs -- hence the chain restaurants and shopping malls that dot the road. Note that most of the beaches on Key Largo are manmade; some of them are still nice enough, but the real draws here are the diving, snorkeling, boating, and other water activities.

  • 68-minute drive to The Florida Keys Marathon Airport
  • 71-minute drive to Miami International Airport
  • 6-minute drive to the Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park
  • 8-minute drive to the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center
  • 11-minute drive to the Tradewinds Shipping Center
  • 15-minute drive to Harry Harris County Park, a manmade beach with boat ramps and calm water, protected by a coral rock barrier
  • 100-minute drive to the Everglades
  • 134-minute drive to Key West
