Four Points by Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port is a seven-story building covered in glass windows on a busy highway. The hotel is popular with groups flying in and out of the nearby airport, as well as pre- and post-cruise travelers. Lime-green drum lights give the lobby a cheery vibe, and a row of couches offers guests a spot to sit. A cooler holding sodas for sale is in the lobby. Breakfast is provided buffet-style in a room with funky, polka-dot blue chairs and blue tables. The outdoor pool area is charming, with palm trees and seating at umbrella tables, and a row of lounge chairs, but the area never seems to get full sun.

The hotel is located on Highway 1 within a 15-minute drive of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the airport, and will bring guests to the cruise port for a fee. It’s about a 15-minute drive to Port Everglades, the departure point for Royal Caribbean International and Carnival Cruise Line. The Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center is less than a 10-minute ride on the free shuttle. Harbor Shops, with stores and restaurants, is within a 10-minute walk of the hotel, and Las Olas Boulevard is less than two miles away. The beach is within a 10-minute drive.

The 112 rooms at the Four Points by Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port are colorful, with bright-blue accent walls, swirly carpeting in blues and browns, dark-wood furnishings, and taupe chairs. Suites have either one or two beds, and some have partial room dividers. Executive Suites have separate bedrooms. All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and 42-inch flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms have shower/tub combos with curtains, granite countertops, large mirrors, plenty of shelf space, and toiletries.

Four Points by Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port provides a free shuttle service to both the convention center and the airport, and to the port for a fee. There’s an outdoor pool with umbrella tables and lounge chairs, and a small fitness center with three cardio machines and a weight machine. Meeting rooms are available for private events, and there’s an Internet corner with two computers and a printer. Parking is free, and so is Wi-Fi.
