Royal Sonesta Houston is located along West Loop freeway. It's a safe area near The Galleria shopping mall, which has tons of high-end stores and restaurants, as well as an ice-skating rink. Downtown Houston is about a 15-minute drive away, as are major sports arenas and theaters. The beaches of Galveston Island can be reached in a little more than an hour.
They say everything's bigger in Texas, and Houston definitely lives up to that. Characterized by steamy summer days and mild winter nights, the thriving metropolis sprawls over a flat landscape punctuated by tall, stately buildings and winding roadways.
