The property, located on Ibiza's largest beach, is visually arresting, and rooms are among the most stylish in the area. Be aware that planes can sometimes be heard landing at the nearby airport.

Spacious, bright rooms range from Doubles to Master Suites with two bedrooms, and have balconies or terraces as well as bathrooms with jetted tubs and showerheads. Some of the rooms have dated decor not up to scratch for this caliber, while others have been updated. Packed with family-friendly facilities, the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza is also within a five-minute walk of Ibiza’s famous nightlife.

5

Hotel Garbi Ibiza & Spa

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

This 298-room upscale beachfront property has a hip, mellow style, with poolside DJ sessions that are more relaxing than wild. Rooms are large, modern, and sleek, with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, furnished balconies, and free Wi-Fi. While the pool is the place to hang out, the hotel also offers a swanky spa, a hopping beach club, a small fitness center, and a solid buffet restaurant. Located right on sandy Playa d’en Bossa, the Garbi is a short walk to some of Ibiza’s top nightclubs.

6

Hotel Torre Del Mar

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

The 217-room Torre del Mar sits directly on a sandy beach in northern Playa d’en Bossa. This upscale property includes two indoor pools, an outdoor pool, a tennis court, fitness center, small spa, two restaurants, a lounge bar, meeting and event space, and hip, sleek rooms with furnished balconies. A quiet and relaxing vibe pervades here, but Torre del Mar is close enough to the action -- including some of Ibiza’s top nightclubs -- to make it a solid pick for travelers who want to experience the island’s famous nightlife.

7

Sirenis Tres Carabelas & Spa

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

The 245-room Sirenis Hotel Club Tres Carabelas & Spa is a popular all-inclusive right on the beach. Rooms in this upper-middle-range property are spacious and bright with balconies, and include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and air-conditioning, but except for the renovated Superior Rooms and Superior Junior Suites, decor is plain and dated (renovations are planned for all rooms). The property includes an outdoor pool with whirlpool and snack bar, a kids' pool, a fitness center with cardio- and weight-training equipment, a good buffet-style restaurant, and daily entertainment. But the highlight here is the spa, which includes a large, glassed-roof indoor lap pool, massage cabins, whirlpools, and salon services. The hotel is a popular pick for bachelor and bachelorette parties, which can mean noise at times.

8

ME Ibiza

Santa Eulalia del Río, Ibiza

Located in a quiet area adjacent to famous Nikki Beach club, the 205-room ME Ibiza is one of the chicest properties in this part of the island. Minimalist all-white decor and soft lounge music lend this luxury property a relaxing, cool vibe, while top-notch services such as a private boat for day trips, rooftop massages, adult-only areas, and free yoga classes draw well-heeled couples and groups of friends. Rooms are hip and modern, with flat-screen TVs, mood lighting, minibars and iPod docks, but not all units have balconies and some may find the glass-enclosed showers lacking in privacy.

9

Bless Hotel Ibiza

Es Canar, Santa Eulalia del Río, Ibiza

The family-oriented, all-inclusive 305-room Fiesta Hotel Cala Nova sits on a small, sandy beach in a quiet part of town. This mid-range property has a splash pool and mini-club with a playground for kids, mini-golf, and a game room. The pool area features a view of the ocean, and has a snack bar. The hotel also offers an arcade game room with darts, boules, and pool tables, a cocktail bar, and reasonable rates -- at least for Ibiza. Bright, air-conditioned rooms have private, furnished balconies, but use of the in-room mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and safes comes with a fee, and Wi-Fi -- for a fee -- is available only in certain common areas.

10

Apartamentos Sal Rossa Ibiza

Playa d'en Bossa, Ibiza

Located on a sandy beach in party-oriented Playa d’en Bosa, the budget (by Ibiza standards) Apartamentos Sal Rossa draws lots of vacationing young couples and groups. Within walking distance of the Ushuaia, Bora Bora, and Space nightclubs, the area can get rowdy during peak season, although it quiets down at other times of the year. Its 77 apartment-style rooms are clean, basic but pleasant, with separate bedrooms, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and kitchenettes that include stovetops, mini-fridges, and microwaves. Although most units have been upgraded, guests have complained about dated decor and thin walls in some of the units. There are such kid-friendly amenities as a children's pool and playground on the grounds, but Sal Rossa might not be the most family-focused place to stay in high season.
