The Rusty Parrot Lodge and Spa is tucked quietly away in the northwest corner of the town of Jackson. This offers the property the best of both worlds: calm surroundings that are still within steps of restaurants, bars, shops, movie theaters, and parks.

A short walk through Jackson can at times feel like an Epcot experience. In the span of a few blocks, you'll find lively Wild-West taverns serving elk meat gyros, high-end day spas, kitschy cowboy bars where locals and skiers nurse their beers, high-style gourmet restaurants, and maybe a ho-down or two. Combine this with the fact that you're surrounded by some of the most vast, unkempt natural beauty in the country and mere miles away from some of the most challenging skiing in the world, and it becomes easy to see why the town has grown into the charming, vibrant place that it is today.

The small 32-room Rusty Parrot Lodge is decidedly upscale for the area and notably quiet despite its central location. The property embraces a rustic chic decor, including in the super spacious, bright rooms (some with fireplaces) with clean, white-tile bathrooms. It hits all of the requisite apres-ski offerings: an ornate reading room with heavy leather chairs, an outdoor lounge deck with a Jacuzzi and fire pits, and a stylish bar manned by knowledgeable mixologists. Even though the on-site restaurant Wild Sage has delicious food, guests are still only steps away from Jackson's restaurants, shops, and bars.
