In an exclusive residential section of southern Ponte Vedra Beach
The Lodge & Club has a privileged location right on a sandy, uncrowded beach in an upscale residential area in southern Ponte Vedra Beach. The property is surrounded by beachfront houses and palm trees lining State Highway 203 / Ponte Vedra Boulevard, which runs parallel to the ocean, connecting all the wonderful beaches from northern Ponte Vedra to southern Villano Beach.
Ponte Vedra is a sleepy beachside community located directly south of Jacksonville Beach. The wonderful beach and the great golf courses are the main draws here -- but aside from that, there’s little to do or see. The upside to the cold waters in winter is that beaches here are far less crowded than those in southern Florida, even in the summer months. This is the perfect spot for a quiet and relaxed golf and beach getaway, but don’t expect any nightlife or an interesting dining scene. Restaurants, shops, and bars can be found further north, in Jacksonville Beach.
Located down the road from its amenities-packed sister property, the Mediterranean-inspired Lodge & Club occupies a quiet, uncrowded beachfront. There are beautiful ocean views from balconies and romantic window seats in each of the hotel's 66 rooms. Room perks include flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and Keurig coffeemakers. Bathrooms are particularly luxurious, with a deep soaking tub and separate shower. Additional property features include a and two good -- but pricey -- restaurants and lounges. Both Wi-Fi and daily afternoon tea are free, and there are two outdoor pools, one just for adults.
