Add CommentRecently had a getaway to Vegas and booked at the Bellagio. When we arrived, the computer systems were down, so we couldn't check in right away. Not too much of a bother. The bell staff was gracious and held our bags until we could check in. The lines in the lobby were looong, but we were well taken care of by the staff. They provided lists of entertainment and water and just a courteous "how are you" made the wait bearable. Lines are a part of life, what we waited for was worth it. The staff did the best they could with the technology they had at the time, just pens and paper. They manually checked in each guest! If anyone got to the front and was indignant, then a big thump on the head to them. We got checked in and given a prime spot, a room right off the elevator. Jackpot! The room was beautiful, clean and cozy. Nice view of the strip and mountain range.
The daily staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I agree with Oyster.com in that the lobby is so crowded. Too crowded, and it's hard to find a good breakfast in the Bellagio and moderatley priced food at that. One morning, we spent over $30 on breakfast and espresso's; outrageous! I absolutely loved the spa. I only used the fitness center and did not receive spa treatment (next time, I will) but for the price of $25 a day it's worth it. You still get to use the whirlpool, sauna and steam rooms, and you get the nice robes and slippers, fabulous rainforest shower and amenities. All day, that's a pretty good deal.
I'm not a gamer, but I must say I like the class of the gaming area. It's got quiet machines. The "ding ding" drives me crazy. Loved the various lounges, especially the piano/cigar bar in the front.
I'm really excited to go back during the warm months, especially to utilize the pool area. The Bellagio did not disappoint, it's a lovely hotel.
Beautiful!
