Fragrant air is very strong for the scent/bad food!

By Brian Cooper from West Hollywood, CA. on Nov 2, 2011

Had 4 meals at four different venues in the joint Palazzo/Venitian and all four were bad. At one the waiter kept dragging his sleeve thru my food and I kept making them bring me new meal! Then add the over scented perfume to the air and things went from bad to worse. It was hard to make it from the entrance to my room without passing out. Will NEVER walk into the facility again.

Do not care how cheep the rooms get they could not pay me to stay there, nor give me free food!!!!!!!!!

I am in Vegas 2-4 time a year for pleasure & Volunteering with L A County Sheriff for Baker to Vegas run.

A coffee maker in the room would be a huge plus, same with Venetian.

The Best Place We Stayed

By on Sep 15, 2009

Recently spent 2 weeks in Las Vegas and had a blast. We enjoyed the Palazzo the most out of all of the properties. I learned some tips about the place that I thought I'd share.

    • Cheapest coffee is from the ice cream place in the food court or in the Canal Shoppes: $2 vs $3.50 from Lavazzo (both are Lavazzo coffee)
    • The valets were some of the nicest people we met and were always quick to bring cars around - just mention your a hotel guest.
    • We were disappointed with pools closing at 8pm, but there are more pools on the 10th floor of the Venezia Tower that are open till 10pm (access from the Venetian).
    • Don't pay for nightclub admission, there are usually people handing out free admission cards
    • If you play, Grazie ran nice promotions, including trading 1000 points for a free night stay. Make sure the front desk has your card number, then anything you put on the room can also earn you resort points toward higher levels.
    • The hotel is probably the best built property I've ever stayed in, doors are almost air tight, never any noise from the hall.
    • We found the cocktail service on the gaming floor to be some what lacking, but the servers do seem to be covering a large area. Tip well and they come around more often.
    • In-room safe has a power outlet in it to charge your laptop while its locked up.
    • In-room Wi-Fi has its own base station so you get great coverage (free Wi-Fi on the Concierge Level lounge although the rest of the benefits didn't seem to be worth the upgrade)
    • Electric blinds were a nice touch, and the in-room multi-function printer worked great
    • If you are facing Treasure Island you can watch the fireworks from your window.
    • The Dal Toro Ristorante breakfast special was not worthwhile: small portions, left hungry. Went to the cafe next door at Wynn right as you enter - cheaper, and had a better waterfall view.
    • We tried the "$20 sandwich trick" (see frontdesktip.com) when checking in. It worked out to a Strip view upgrade.
    • Comped tickets to both shows were actually very good seats
    • Guacamole from Dos Caminos was delicious; pizza from Grand Lux was great
    • Only 2 floors of the hotel are smoking - so overall not much smoke off the casino floor.

Be warned though after staying here, every other hotel seems lacking and some what disappointing. In summary this was the best hotel we have stayed in and would go back here in a heart beat.
