There are plenty of on-site amenities great for couples, including a fine Peruvian restaurant, a casino for nightly entertainment, a small outdoor pool, and a spa.

The 20-room Duo Hotel, located in quiet and safe Embassy District in the exclusive neighborhood of San Isidro, is one of the city's more modern boutique options. It has a pleasant (but small) dipping pool and sundeck in the courtyard, a solid bistro on-site, and freebies such as Wi-Fi and breakfast buffet. Spacious and bright rooms have high-tech amenities and contemporary decor with pops of color. But the hotel is not within walking distance of any major tourist sights, and bathrooms need an update.

For couples on a budget, this mid-range hotel just a block from the beach is a solid pick. It features clean, bright rooms with large windows, flat-screen TVs, and colorful accent walls, plus a nice patio with a small garden, and a decent restaurant. The Runcu is a small property, with no pool or fitness center, but the hotel's cheerful demeanor, as well as freebies such as breakfast and Wi-Fi, make it a good value. Note that it’s on a busy street in popular Miraflores, so street noise can be an issue at times.
