Oyster Hotel Review

Olissippo Saldanha

Scene

Modern, minimal boutique popular with couples

In a curved, corner building, the Olissippo Saldanha hotel is an upscale property located in a modern building with seven floors. Just inside the glass doors is a sleek, black front desk in front of a black and gold backdrop. Floors have different themes including a river theme, a city theme with photographs of the city, and a poetry theme with poetry excerpts on the carpeting. The breakfast buffet is served in a charming space with striking carpeting, polka dot chairs, a large mirror with an antique-style frame, and black-and-white photos hanging on the wall. Guests, most of whom are couples, can order drinks and light meals in the small bar area with modern bar stools, a wall-mounted TV, and club chairs positioned around round, wooden tables. Potted palms add a little greenery to the space while white, floor-length curtains hang over the windows that wrap around the room.
