Bottom Line

The Turim Iberia is far from most major attractions, but it’s around the corner from Campo Pequeno metro stop, and offers good value for money. It is a typical small chain hotel, with few on-site amenities -- there's not much more than a business center and an adequate restaurant. The clean, quiet rooms have understated contemporary decor in shades of gray and beige, and feature flat-screen TVs, minibars, and double glazed windows. Perks such as free Wi-Fi, a decent breakfast included in the nightly rate, and proximity to public transport add to the value.

Turim Iberia Hotel

Location

Campo Pequeno is a quiet area known for its stunning 19th century bullring, and beautiful Gulbenkian Park -- but it’s far from most other major attractions

This property is on a pleasant, tree- lined street in Campo Pequeno neighborhood. While it is not the most central location, it offers easy access to the city center via public transportation, and it has a couple of beautiful sights of its own, both within easy walking distance of the property. There are numerous local stores and eateries on the neighboring streets, and the Campo Pequeno metro stop is just around the corner from the hotel.

The beautiful late 19th-century bullring and the gorgeous Gulbenkian Park are two of the most important sights in this otherwise residential neighborhood. The garden is a perfect place to unwind after a long day of walking around the city -- it is peaceful, relaxing, and features great exhibitions that rotate regularly. The bullring, with its red brick walls and blue domes, is definitely a must-see. After the 2006 renovations, the bullring re-opened as a multi-functional space, and now hosts everything from concerts to sports events.

  • 12-minute drive to Lisbon Portela Airport, or 22 minutes via public transportation
  • 2-minute walk to Campo Pequeno metro stop, served by the Yellow Line
  • 4-minute walk to Campo Pequeno bullring
  • 7-minute walk to Gulbenkian Park
  • 8-minute metro ride to Eduardo VII Park
  • 15-minute metro ride to Rossio, a main square
  • 12-minute metro ride to Chiado and Baixa
  • 14-minute metro ride to the Santa Justa historic elevator, with great views
  • 17-minute metro ride to Praca do Comercio, a beautiful plaza facing the river
  • 25-minute metro ride to St. George's Castle
  • 15-minute metro ride to Bairro Alto
  • 17-minute metro ride to Casa dos Bicos
  • 22-minute metro ride to Alfama
  • 14-minute drive to the National Museum of Ancient Art
  • 16-minute drive to the Jeronimos Monastery
  • 16-minute drive to the Belem Tower
  • 16-minute drive to the National Coach Museum, the largest museum of royal coaches in the world
