The 171-room VIP Executive is a mid-range hotel outside of Lisbon's city center. Though tourists may not love the location -- unless they are visiting the nearby bull ring -- the hotel attracts business travelers who are working in the area and want close proximity to the airport. The hotel has numerous amenities: an indoor pool, a fitness center, a small business center, and two restaurants, as well as a coffee shop that is often bustling in the mornings. Rooms are clean but bland; they feature blonde wood, IKEA-like furniture, and tube TVs. Its extensive list of features still makes it a solid choice, but it's worth comparing rates with the Villa Rica's more upscale sister hotel, the VIP Grand Lisboa, which offers more contemporary rooms and a small spa.
