A clean and safe budget roadside motel
The two-story Rodeway Inn & Suites Pacific Coast Highway has a basic lobby and black wrought-iron balconies in front of the exterior facing rooms. The property has more perks than its nearby competitors and reports of excellent customer service, even when checking in late at night. The hotel has 24-hour security.
On the Pacific Coast Highway, about 20 miles from Venice Beach
The Rodeway Inn & Suites Pacific Coast Highway is located on a busy stretch of the road with nearby chain restaurants and gas stations. Most guests check in for a safe and convenient stopover during a road trip, though Venice Beach is a 20-minute drive from the motel without traffic.
Clean and spacious with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers
Each room has light blue walls and a vase of flowers decorating a small dining table. Stainless steel mini-fridges are modern and there are pillow-top mattresses and flat-screen TVs. Clean bathrooms have stall showers or shower/tub combos. Rooms face the lackluster parking lot or a cement walled courtyard. The furnishings are outdated, with unappealing bedspreads and bedskirts.
Free Wi-Fi and business services
There aren't many features at Rodeway Inn & Suites Pacific Highway, but there is free Wi-Fi and a copy machine and printer for use in the lobby. The Holiday Inn Express in nearby Hermosa Beach does have a small fitness center, swimming pool, and restaurant, but can be almost triple the price.
A motel property, the Rodeway Inn and Suites is convenient as a pit stop on a road trip down the Pacific Coast Highway. There aren't many amenities -- no pool or fitness center -- but rooms do have free Wi-Fi, coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and microwaves (there is also a room option with a big hot tub). The hotel has ample parking and good service, but outdated rooms have unappealing bedspreads and bedskirts.
