Bottom Line

Casa Natalia is a gorgeously executed 16-room boutique in downtown San Jose del Cabo. Everything from the quaint lobby with original artwork to the on-site restaurant has charming local flair. Even standard rooms are spacious, with living rooms and balconies featuring hammocks (though the tube TVs are one notable drawback). The only way to beat the heat on-site is an attractive but small and walled-in pool area, but the beach is only a short drive away. Book here if you want romantic seclusion -- but if a beachfront party spot is more your speed, consider the slightly pricier options in the nearby hotel zone.

Oyster Hotel Review

Casa Natalia

Location

In the heart of San Jose del Cabo on the Town Square, but far from the beach

Located in downtown San Jose del Cabo, the Casa Natalia isn't ideal for couples looking to maximize beach time. But the boutique is secluded in plain sight, situated right on the Town Square.

Close to the party-hearty area of Cabos San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo is the more quaint, historic answer to a beach vacation in Los Cabos. The waters are rough, and there's less of a nightlife, but the area retains its Mexican flair and features numerous restaurants and galleries. It is also close to the airport.

  • 17-minute drive to Los Cabos International Airport
  • 6-minute drive or 23-minute walk to the beach
  • 15-minute drive to Los Cabos Port
  • 33-minute drive to Medano Beach, known for its calm waters and packed beaches
  • 36-minute drive to downtown Cabo's party spots
  • 39-minute drive to great views of Land's End, a picturesque rock formation on the coast
