Less than an hour from the major airport and minutes from major tourist areas
Playa Grande's central location in downtown Cabo San Lucas, on the marina, is convenient for guests. Here, they'll have access to fishing, shopping, dining, and the famous parties and nightlife Cabo has become known for. The resort is less than an hour away from Los Cabos International Airport and San Jose del Cabo, and minutes from water sports, city tours, whale watching, and golf.
At the southern tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas -- a beach town on the stretch of coastline collectively known as Los Cabos (The Capes) -- has long been a popular vacation spot for sun-worshipping party seekers. Hence, the nickname Cabo San Loco.
This upscale, all-suite property emphasizes its Mexican roots with bright oranges and reds, as well as intricate moldings and water features throughout. Each ample suite features a kitchenette, and the open layouts allow for a lot of leg room. The generous bathrooms have the standard shower/tub combos, but some suites with two bathrooms feature a deep, separate soaking tub. While the rooms do have older TVs, each has a private balcony with gorgeous views. With a big tiered pool, a mini-golf course, spa, and fitness center, Playa Grande is a good option for couples and families alike. The ocean views and the excellent central location are pluses, but time-share salespeople are pushy and non-owners can only visit every few years. There are optional all-inclusive rates, but since there are only two restaurants on-site some guests may find the plan a bit restricting.
