The Hesperia Hermosilla has one of the most coveted addresses in central Madrid -- right in the heart of ritzy Salamanca, the most upscale area in the city center. The neighborhood is home to high-end boutiques and chain stores, great restaurants, and a bunch of major attractions, such as the Retiro Park, the National Library, and the Archaeological Museum. There are few nightlife spots here, but Alonso Martinez and Chueca are an easy walk away. Proximity to the Metro -- located a block away from the hotel -- makes it easy to move around.
