Relaxed residence with great ocean views
In a gorgeous rural setting, the Gocce di Capri sits on a natural terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The property has beautiful stone paths framed with hanging flowers and both olive and lemon trees. The atmosphere of this countryside retreat is relaxed and casual. Furnishings aren't too impressive, but the focus here is on the exterior beauty of the countryside and the views.
In the rural countryside outside Sorrento
Gocce di Capri is in the rural countryside about a 30-minute drive outside the seaside town of Sorrento (home to many shopping, dining, and nightlife options). The hotel is difficult to reach by public transportation -- the nearest village is Termini, a very small town without much to interest tourists. Positano is less than an hour drive. From the hotel, hikers can start the less than three-mile trek to Punta Campanella, the tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula.
Terraces with gorgeous views and sparse furnishings
Blue tile floors add a touch of color to otherwise sparsely decorated rooms. All rooms offer gorgeous views of the Gulf of Naples and the islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida from balconies or patios with outdoor furniture. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, small, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, and mini-fridges. Apartments have kitchenettes with microwaves or toaster ovens and gas ranges.
Outdoor pool and restaurant open during warmer months
The big outdoor pool offers panoramic ocean views. There’s an open-air café bar with clear shades for when it rains where a continental breakfast is served, and a casual Italian restaurant on a shaded terrace is open for lunch and dinner from May until September. The garden areas surrounding the hotel are gorgeous for strolling along stone paths among lemon and olive trees.
Gocce di Capri is a peaceful, rural residence with striking views overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Isle of Capri. There are a total of 21 mid-range rooms including apartments with kitchenettes, a detached house, and regular rooms. All have terraces with great views of Capri. There is a big outdoor pool with lounge chairs and a cafe bar. A scenic terrace hosts a casual Italian restaurant. The hotel is about a 30-minute drive from Sorrento, but difficult to reach without a car.
