Cambria Hotel Miami Airport – Blue Lagoon

Cambria Suites Miami Airport is housed in a six-story modern building with a covered entrance off the large parking lot. Guests enter into a spacious, light-filled lobby with a two-story ceiling. The setting is modern, fresh, and inviting, with a trendy neutral color scheme accented by red and vivid blue. Numerous seating areas provide space for guests to gather in groups or linger while waiting for companions. There is a large flat-screen TV and free copies of USA Today are available. A stone wall adds texture, and eye-catching pieces of contemporary art lend pizzazz to the space. The business desk off to the side is convenient for checking email or printing boarding passes, and a furnished terrace on the lagoon provides al fresco space. The hotel attracts families and couples going on cruises or with early or late flights out of Miami. It's also convenient for business travelers passing through Miami or in need of meeting facilities. 

Cambria Suites is situated about 15 minutes from Miami's airport on a lagoon. The quiet frontage road out front sits off of a busy, charmless street. Several restaurants and a grocery store are nearby, but the area is not very walkable. The hotel provides shuttle service to the airport and nearby restaurants. Business travelers with business at the Miami Airport Convention Center can get there by foot in less than 10 minutes, or two minutes by car. For shoppers, Dolphin Mall is a 15-minute drive away, and Marlins fans can reach to Marlins Park in about 15 minutes by car as well. Guests looking to tour the sights of South Beach can expect a 20- to 25-minute drive. 

All rooms are suites and feature a separate living room with a sofa bed. Amenities include flat-screen plasma TVs, coffeemakers, free local calls, microwaves, mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi. Some suites add a wet bar with stainless steel sink. Decor is modern and fresh, with shades of trendy gray, black, and tan accented by a red wall, pillows, and accessories. A sleek open shelving unit separates the bedroom from the living area. Furniture is blonde or very dark wood veneer with black accents, and black-and-white and red artwork adds to the modern feel. Bathrooms also are modern, with trendy raised square sinks, black granite countertops, white tile floors, and glass shelving units on walls. Fixtures and tile are super clean. Some rooms have nice views of the lagoon, but others look out onto the parking lot. Despite the hotel's location near the airport, excellent soundproofing keeps rooms quiet.  

The Reflect Bar & Bistro serves breakfast, including a hot buffet, and local and American fare for dinner. Breakfast is not included in room rates and it can be very busy. The heated outdoor pool is small, but a waterfall, palm trees, lounge chairs, and umbrellas plus the lagoon setting make it a pleasant place to hang out. A business desk in the lobby has computers and a printer for guests to use. Meeting facilities include four boardrooms that accommodate up to 10 people each, a 900-square-foot conference room, and an outdoor pool terrace for receptions and dinners. All feature up-to-date audiovisual equipment. The conference room opens onto the pool terrace and the lagoon. The fitness center is spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows along one wall. It has weight-training and cardio equipment as well as free weights, floor mats, and exercise balls. Towels and a water cooler are provided. A free shuttle will take guests to the airport and anywhere within 3 miles, and there is a convenience store on site. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
