Fontainebleau is a GREAT HOTEL!

My stay at Fountainbleau was amazing. I did not have one complaint, the hotel is one you have to experience. Its not far from South Beach and still in a great location. It is enough entertainment in th hotel, you will not be bored, I PROMISE. The view from the balcony is gorgeous! The staff is friendly and great, the rooms are clean, its OVERALL a great hotel. This will be the hotel I stay in when I come to Miami.

The room is important to me and I was very disappointed. The pillows were awful - way too small and soft. I had such a hard time sleeping - even using 3 pillows didn't work. The bathroom was too small.

Parking is ridiculously expensive and we waited extremely long (over 15 minutes) for our car each time we needed it....even though we called down in advance.

The staff was extremely friendly - all of them. Even passing an employee in a hallway, we were greeted with a hello and a smile.

On Saturday night, if you are over 29 years old, the hotel is not where you want to hang out. It has become the "in" spot for young, well-dressed local yuppies. Also, they must be pretty well-heeled because drinks are outrageously expensive.

All in all, it's not where I would choose to go again for a weekend getaway (which is what this was).

I totally agree with the read on the write-up here. Really good job and incredible photos. I'm somewhat surprised though that nobody mentioned the roof falling in at the Fountainebleau and the downstairs nightclub being flooded just a few weeks before. Was this fixed by the time you stayed there?
