The Setai Miami Beach Rating: 5.0 Pearls

Designed for romance, the Setai's black granite soaking tub is in the common area, not the bathroom proper. The bathrooms, however, come with enormous walk-in rainfall showers (with sexy, floor-to-ceiling black tiles), double vanities, and generously sized toiletries from fancy Italian perfumer Laura Tonatto.

The huge, bright marble bathrooms at the Tides come with deep soaking tubs and softly scented soaps, shampoos, and lotions from Molton Brown. There's only a shower -- no tub -- but design elements like the stormy mosaic, the rainfall showerhead hidden in a chandelier-type fixture, and the eco-friendly Agua toiletries make the Mondrian's 2009 bathrooms among Miami's best. Upping the sexy factor throughout the hotel, the Victor's guest rooms have an "open" floor plan, meaning there's no wall separating the bedroom from the marble-covered bathroom and its deep soaking tubs. (Fortunately, a heavy curtain can be drawn to keep steam from getting everywhere.) Just like at the Victor, all rooms at the St. Augustine have an open floor plan, with no division between the bathroom and the bedroom. The large sink and generous mirror are in an alcove by the foot of the bed. The steam shower sends out clouds of steam from a vent in the floor, turning the shower stall into a personal sauna. Afterward, you can get blasted from the three shower jets in the wall and a fourth jet overheard. H2O toiletries -- quality lotions, shampoos, and conditioners -- make for some serious pampering from a mid-range hotel. In addition to the marble floors and countertops, the Bentley's bathrooms have all the high-end comforts: terry cloth robes, super-soft towels, a bidet, a spacious shower, and an enormous bathtub. As with most Hiltons, the bath products come from La Source, by Crabtree & Evelyn.
