My wife and i rented a car so every morning we would go to a deli for breakfast about 10 minutes away. You should rent a car or hop on the hotels bus that takes you to the aventura mall .There is a good Italian Restaurant there. The ride to South Beach is about 25 minutes

We stayed for 5 nights last August. My husband played golf and I took my teenagers to the Aventura Mall for back to school shopping. They have a great pool (water slide and lazy river) and a nice beach. (You are shuttled to the beach) Although the beach facilities are not up to par with the Hotel. (I understand they are going to renovate). We had no problem going into Miami in the evening for dinner and also to the Bal Harbour Shoppes. Again we are a family with teenagers so we were not going to clubs, however we enjoy fine dining and had no problem going into Miami for dining. I used the spa the last day, and wish I would have gone earlier as my massage was excellent and the facilities top notch. We took at day trip to Biscayne Key which was a nice drive. I always recommend this trip to friends looking to get away.
