The Crowne Plaza's exterior is nothing spectacular, but the lobby wows with glossy cream floors, large, square dark columns, and a sleek dark-brown check-in desk. Details like a curving staircase, grand piano, and a stunning glass chandelier add some luxe. There’s a few square ponds, abstract paintings, and sofas and armchairs grouped in intimate seating areas. The style goes from modern to traditional and elegant in Restaurant Volare, which has floral carpets, chandeliers, and white tablecloths. Alternatively, Bar Connexion has a typical sports-bar vibe, with leather chairs, a large bar, a pool table, and a few slot machines. During the week, the hotel draws mostly business travelers (several offices are in the area) and travelers on layovers, but the weekend brings families and other tourists.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Montreal Airport is located right off busy Highway 520, about a 10-minute drive to Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (the hotel provides a free shuttle) and a 25-minute drive to downtown. There’s a few restaurants and shops nearby, but it's probably best to have a car if staying in this area, although a bus does stop in front of the hotel.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel Montreal Airport's 222 rooms are modern, with gray, black, and red accents, carpeting, and dark-wood furnishings. Though the design is sleek and contemporary, it's nothing above the norm for chain hotels, and guests have complained about worn carpeting and cleanliness. Still, they’re spacious and include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, safes, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges. Suites have kitchenettes with microwaves, sinks, and dishwashers, plus separate living rooms. Bathrooms are modern with white tiles and red accent walls. They have shower/tub combos, and some Suites include whirlpool bathtubs. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided.

For an airport hotel, the Crowne Plaza packs a nice range of amenities. There’s an indoor heated pool with a large green waterslide, reportedly the only hotel pool with a waterslide in Montreal. It's bordered by a handful of striped loungers with sun umbrellas giving the space a cheerier look than most indoor pools. Active guests can also seek out the small fitness center with four cardio machines, two weight machines, free weights, and a sauna. 

The sophisticated Restaurant Volare serves Italian cuisine and a breakfast buffet (not included in the rate). A more laid-back atmosphere can be found in the Bar Connexion, which offers a pool table, flat-screen TVs, jukebox, and slot machines. There’s a small gift shop jam-packed with souvenirs, knickknacks, and drinks for sale, too. For business travelers, there are 15 fully equipped meeting rooms that cover 3,000 square feet, a business center with a few desktops and printers, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Parking is free as well.
