In downtown Myrtle Beach, attached to the Convention Center and close to the airport and Broadway at the Beach
The property is located in the same complex as the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, a block from the diverse dining scene of Highway 17, and a short drive from the Broadway at the Beach shopping and entertainment center. The airport is nearby, as well as a couple of golf courses, but it is a 10-minute walk to the beach.
Myrtle Beach's Downtown is the place to be in this seaside resort city, home to a bustling boardwalk, numerous all-American and international eateries, shops, and huge resorts. It also offers a number of water activities -- deep sea fishing, jet skiing, sunbathing, and those banana boat rides that will keep you from taking yourself too seriously. If you're hoping for a busy, entertaining vacation for the family, Downtown is your spot.
10-minute walk to the nearest beach
The 400-room Sheraton is located in Downtown Myrtle Beach, attached to the convention center and close to the airport and great shopping. The rooms are comfortable, especially by Myrtle Beach standards, with high-quality bedding and microwaves (if generic decor). The large fitness center has modern machines and a yoga/Pilates area, but the tiny pool is sub-par and it is not always clean. This property caters mostly to business travelers, but it does draw some families due to its proximity to kid-friendly attractions like Broadway at the Beach. The actual beach, however, is a 10-minute walk away.
