In the residential town of Rutherford, with more than 20 wineries just five minutes away
Rancho Caymus is located in downtown Rutherford, which is a small residential area surrounded by more than 20 wineries. Across the street from the inn is a Mexican food market.
Located in Northern California north of the San Francisco Bay area, Napa Valley has one of the United States' most prominent and lucrative wine industries. With rolling hills and vineyards at virtually every turn, this upscale tourist town retains a quaint and rustic quality, thanks in part to its amazing natural landscape. Although Napa doesn't have nightlife in the traditional sense, it is home to an Opera House and the Uptown Theater, as well as dozens of wineries.
This 26-room, two-story inn has the charm of a Spanish hacienda, with stucco walls and pretty hand-painted details. It's an all-suite property, and the suites are spacious and rustic, with dark wood-beamed ceilings and carved wooden furniture. The suites are also bi-level, with the living area on the lower level, and bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Modern amenities include flat-screen TVs and a DVD player, but the alarm clock/CD player combos are outdated. Outside, a lovely courtyard features beautiful overgrown trees and shrubs, and stone and wrought-iron details are pretty. But the property lacks the features of a larger hotel: There's no pool, spa, or fitness center.
