They are accented with neutral fabrics in whites and taupes, and furnished with Victorian-style stuffed chairs, wood writing desks, and the occasional wall-hung painting. Some rooms are stand-alone cottage-style apartments with outdoor patios, while others are rooms within the main house, some of which have private entrances accessible via a set of exterior stairs. All rooms have air-conditioning and heat as well as wood commodes and desks, robes, and iPod docks. A few guests have commented that the temperature control units are on the loud side, and that some rooms may receive noise from adjacent ones.

The Inn on Randolph is a newly remodeled, gabled property dating to the late 19th century on a residential tree-lined street, walking distance from downtown Napa. The inn consists of a mix of buildings, including the main historic house, which contains a handful of rooms, and a small number of stand-alone private cottages. The lovely rooms are airy and luxurious with soft neutral tones; some have fireplaces and terraces. There is an excellent gourmet breakfast and peaceful shaded gardens with Adirondack chairs for sipping wine in the evenings.
