Near I-75, north of downtown Naples
The Inn at Pelican Bay is located about a mile inland near I-75 on the shores of a small lake. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance, but most visitors will find a car is necessary. Multiple golf courses and tennis courts are nearby.
Naples, one of the most sophisticated towns in southwestern Florida, is a golfer's paradise, with over 80 wonderful (and expensive) golf courses. It's a sprawling town and visitors will probably need to have a car to move around, but the downtown area has an upscale shopping district, a few art galleries, and a wide array of restaurants. However, there's little to do besides going to the beach. There's some nightlife -- a few local bars and restaurants provide entertainment -- but this is more a relaxing community for adults than party central.
The Inn at Pelican Bay is an upper-middle-range property located close to the interstate, as well as various beaches and golf courses. The 100 rooms are fairly generic in appearance for a boutique hotel, but they look modern and offer plenty of space, along with comfortable beds. Room amenities include mini-fridges, microwaves, and in some rooms, lake views from nice balconies. Independent ownership sets the property apart from other options in the area. This hotel might not offer a beachfront location, but it does offer a free lakeside breakfast, free Wi-Fi, free parking, and bike rentals.
