Add CommentSpent a weekend at the suite at Ritz-Carlton Battery Park after four of us spent five days crammed into a superior room at Ritz-Carlton Central Park. Loooved having five times the square footage for half the price. Battery Park furniture is less ostentatiously oppulent, but quite high end, as are the draperies and art work. The toiletries are standard issue Ritz-Carlton (they appear to have replaced Bulgari in most locations) not the chichi Etro of Central Park property.
Lots of things to do with kids along the riverfront. We walked to Wall Street and Brooklyn Bridge, took a double-decker bus tour, enjoyed the Hudson River walk with kiddie playgrounds and a view of the Jersey City skyline. Plenty of waterfront restaurants - not gourmet, but very decent and moderately priced, and offering kids' menus. The kids loved the Battery Park location, and as for Central Park, they want to go back, too, but to Jumeirah Essex House. To them breathing space is much more important than toiletries.
Kids love spacious suite/loved the playgrounds of Hudson River Walk
