The updated room decor is on par with that at the Clarion Collection Havnekontoret and the Radisson Blu Royal, but prices here tend to be lower -- perhaps due to the less impressive common spaces, fewer features, or location farther from Bryggen.

The Clarion Hotel Admiral is located on Bergen Harbor, directly across from the historic Bryggen Hanseatic buildings. Popular sights including Bryggen are within walking distance.
Bergen is one of Norway's most charming and appealing cities, with several well-preserved historic areas, museums, a wide shopping plaza, and the large, manicured Byparken with a pond, gardens, and a gazebo. Tourists flock to Bryggen, a former Hanseatic merchant area with colorful centuries-old wooden buildings (and some newer reconstructions). The Fish Market on the harbor is another popular spot, as is the Floibanen Funicular, which shuttles visitors to the top of a mountain for panoramic views of the city and harbors.
