The Shoreline Hotel Waikiki has an open, bright lobby with tall windows and white shutters along with retro-inspired orange couches and potted trees. There’s colorful artwork, huge, modern overhead lights and a quaint chalkboard announcing the day’s surf report, weather forecast, guests’ special occasions, and Hawaiian word of the day. The open business center is backed by huge mirrors reflecting light. The atmosphere throughout is creative and relaxed.

The 125-room Shoreline Hotel Waikiki, a Joie de Vivre Hotel is an upper-mid-range property located two blocks away from Kalakaua Avenue and less than a five-minute walk from Waikiki Beach. There’s another Joie de Vivre Hotel not too far away, Coconut Waikiki, which is less expensive but farther from the beach.
